Report on 12 March Book Signing

I am proud to report that the Book Signing held at Hastings Bookstore on 12 March was a huge success. Even though it was the beginning of Spring Break for our Central Texas children many people seemed to have stayed in the area. Whether it was because of gas prices, air fares or just contentment to stay at home there was no lack of families coming in and showing their support.

I was told by my Books Manager that if I sold 10 books during the entire period I would be there I would have done very well. God gave me favor and within 45 minutes of my being there I had already sold about 9 books. I stayed there 4 hours and the rate of sales continued the same per hour.

What I enjoyed most about the book signing was meeting new people, telling the children and parents about the characters in my books and seeing their faces light up and their smiles and having my supportive family with me the entire time. It was also very thrilling to see my Books Manager beaming everytime she walked by at how wonderful everything was going.

I will also like to thank the awesome staff at Hastings Bookstore Killeen Texas. Due to the success of the Book Signing on 12 March I have been asked to do another one on this coming Saturday 19 March. "Alyssa Says" books are few in number since they were a favorite especially with the girls and I will not have time to get more by next Saturday. The fun, adventurous, warm-your-heart "City Dog and Country Cat" is available but even those are going quickly.

If you didn't make it out on last Saturday; Come out this Saturday ... Hastings Bookstore 1500 Lowe's Blvd beginning at 1 PM again.

ANNOUNCING! ANNOUNCING! The winner of the 12 March Booksigning raffle is Melanie T. Melanie's name was pulled at the end of the Booksigning at 5 PM by the Books Manager. Congratulations Melanie.
